The Innovator-in-Residence Program (IIR) provides a valuable mentoring opportunity in developing the Mbarara, Ugandan innovation ecosystem. Mentorship builds capacity for Ugandan entrepreneurs, students and faculty, and it also provides an opportunity for IIRs to be ambassadors once they return home. Through the IIR program, experts are able to guide early-stage innovations and work with innovators in the CAMTech Uganda Co Creation Lab. This may include participation in local hack-a-thons, hosting seminars and lectures, working with the CAMTech Interns and/or engaging entrepreneurs working on scalable, sustainable technologies to assist in moving them towards commercialization.
IIRs are expected to develop a comprehensive and actionable plan that details the lessons learned from his or her residency in Mbarara upon completion of the program. Questions? Read the FAQ’s and watch this video to learn more!
